Restorative yoga consists of poses in which the body is fully
supported by props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks. Since
no effort is required to hold a position, you move easily into a
state of deep relaxation.
Using breathing techniques and visualization, your mind calms
and your brain begins to get the message that it is safe to relax
and let go of stored up tension and stress.
Restoratives are especially therapeutic for people with injuries,
chronic stress, insomnia, and limited mobility. This is a
wonderful way to let go of the busy-ness of life and reconnect
with yourself. You will leave class feeling calm, rejuvenated,
and of course, restored!
